Administration of ALK inhibitor TAE684 inhibited the growth of H3122 EML4-ALK containing NSCLC cell lines. Activity was not observed in the DFCI032 cell line due to coactivation of EGFR/Erb2.

Studies published by Cyclacel on the coadministration of CDK inhibitor seliciclib with EGFR/HER2 inhibitors erlotinib, trastuzumab and AG1478 show that the drug combinations were significantly more active than any agent admnistered alone.

In vitro studies with Src inhibitor AZD0530 and EGFR kinase inhibitor Geftinib show that treatment with both drugs resulted in greater inhibition of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cell growth and invasion compared with either agent alone.
